...our pets headsarefallinoff!

For the last 6-7 weeks my fridge has been making strange noises for a fridge. Like, a semi. So, we decided we better get a new one. After waiting 2 weeks for it to get here it arrived with missing paint on the door, and a HUGE feakin scratch. After 7 calls to Sears's awesome (not) customer care center, they are bringing another one hopefully tomorrow. So, we will see how that goes. Then, my washer stopped spinning the water out and instead started leaking it all over the floor. Yay! So we had to replace the pump in it. Then, maybe the worst of all, our Xbox DIED. Yes, died. Our means of entertainment. Just before Christmas, and Christmas break. Now, I have heard bad things happen in 3's so I thought we were covered for the next little while. I was wrong. Blake was at a friends and the friends Guinea pig bit his finger. Hard. His poor little finger is practically black from bruising. He bled like crazy. The kids mom came over all apologetic, saying they would pay for Dr visits, blah, blah. Did I mention this is the neighbor that our dog bit about 5 years ago? And yes, we paid her Dr visit. How's that for Karma? Later that night, Ben went to adjust his sleep # and the little remote didn't work. WTF? This was very concerning to me. I don't enjoy having my sleep messed with. I love my Sleep Number bed, but didn't realize how addicting it is. It's like crack for sleeping. Ben fixed easy enough, but come on! 2010, bring it! (not really :), go easy on me!)

I am off Chinese restaurants. Last night I got food poisoning from Bejing Buffet. I have had it twice, and both times were from Chinese places. boo :(

I got Griff from school today and took him on a lunch date. He had a report to do, and he HATES reading. I don't get it. To me, reading just isn't that hard. He despises it. So naturally he was throwing a fit about the report. I told him IF he changed his attitude, and IF he got the report done on time, I would take him to lunch. Yes, I am a briber. I have no problem with it.
We went to a Chinese place and when we got our fortune cookies, I opened mine and it was empty. EMPTY! What is that about? Then he opens his and it says "You will inherit an unexpected sum of money within the year." I am kinda scared for my life!

My friend, Jerri and her husband had the following conversation after she returned home from a movie and he was shoveling snow;

Husband: Hey, hon, I could really use your help.
Jerri: Blech, I don't shovel.
Husbad: Well, Ang was out helping Ben. If she can do it, you can do it.
Jerri: Helping Ben, when?
Husband: While you were at the movie.
Jerri: Today?
Husband: Ya, today.
Jerri: Um, she was sitting by me during the movie.
Husband: Today?
Jerri: Ya, today.

Men.

I Am My Sisters Sister

So, today at work we ran out of some things, and since I do the order, I felt partially responsible so, I went to Tree-town to borrow. I needed butter pats, tortillas, and a few other things. As I was leaving the Tremonton store, I stepped down a curb and my legs disappeared. I fell. And not just a little trip, skippy, recover. I freakin fell. On my knees. My shoes even came off. It was like when people get hit by cars and they go flying, but their shoes stay. Little butter pats went flying all through the parking lot. Like 250 of them. The kid that was helping me was like, "Uhhhh....are you ok?" And I wanted to DIE! Now, it was a blustery morning. Papers that I was supposed to keep track of were flying through the air, and I had to go get them. My hood from my jacket and my hair were blowing in my face and I kinda had my eyes squinted, so I naturally didn't see the effing TREE in front of me. I bonked my head into a stupid branch that was sticking out. And all I could do was laugh my ass off. My knees kill and so does my toe. :( Brittni, I feel your pain.
WeNdOvEr!
Lacy, Julee, Renee and I went to Wendover the weekend of my birthday. As always, it was fun! Except this time we ALL lost. What the duce!?!

Brittni made me a Rainbow Brite cake this year. Cutsie, right? It was delish. Griff and Blake gave me a cute pair of boots, Ben got me a necklace. Brittni gave me a track suit from my favorite store in Oceanside, and my mom and dad gave me a cute Hello Kitty hoodie, and some lip tint. I also got yummy smelly lotion from some friends. And a Caramello. :)

I got all 29 with one blow!

11/16, a little after 12:00 am as my sister Brittni and I were sitting in my car in her driveway after returning home from This Is It, (which I loved, by the way. That guitar playing girl was a total bad ass) we saw a brilliant light in the sky. We were like, Who would be doing fireworks now? Then, Wait a minute, its going down, not up??? What the duce? Then we looked at it a little closer.....it was like a blue/green fire ball surrounded in red with a long tail, rocketing across the sky. I was like, "Oh, great! The end of the world. I am so not looking forward to this." After it was gone, and nothing else happened, we looked at each other and said, "That Was AWESOME!!!!!" And it was.

Blake and I just got back from a date. We went to New Moon. It was pretty good. Blake loved it. Griff is at his buddy, Keaton's Birthday party. A bunch of boys DYING to see New Moon. Too funny. I am sure they will all love it!

Well.....thanks to my Magic Eraser I went to bed way to late last night, but my house looks fabulous.
I went to the Dr today and after an x-ray, it was determined that I have an "irritated ligament" in my leg, which explains why every 6 weeks or so it hurts like a mother. (even my ligaments are irritated, who knew) I got some steroid/anti-inflammatory which will make me retain water, BUT when I stop taking them, the retention "usually" goes away. I was like, thanks doc, that's awesome! I have been trying to look more puffy, and you have answered my prayers. I was also given some stretches to do. If it doesn't feel better in a couple of months, I have to get a stinkin shot. Since I was there, I just decided to save myself another lovely $35 co-pay and roll my "winter" appointment all into one. I really miss the sun and outsideness of summer, consequently, I have a hard time remaining stable in the winter. I can admit this. Happy pills and tanning, here I come!

This is just how I look when I do my naked stretching. Doesn't everybody?

PSA

A little Public Service Announcement to all out there. Please, please, do NOT wear grey OR brown stretch pants to the gym. Trust me. Nobody wants to see that. And by "that" I mean, sweaty ass crack. Stick with your basic black on the bottom and you should be fine.

To Flush or Not To Flush

We have a fish and I think it is depressed. Blake and I are the only ones who feed it on occasion. It is in a Mason jar because Griff dropped the fish bowl and broke it. Do fish die when they get flushed?
And if anyone is wondering, my new smell is PS I Love You at Bath and Body Works. PS, I love it!

Friday, November 6, 2009

A couple days ago Ben and I heard a commercial on the radio that Takara Sushi was having "All you can eat" for $25.50. We were like, "Bring it Takara!" So we went over last night for a little date and as always it was delicious. We brought Griff some home for his babysitting payment and he couldn't have been happier.
Britt and I went to see The Invention of Lying and let me just say, it totally sucked.
I started my Christmas shopping yesterday so that I won't have a repeat of last year. Brittni helped me since I enlisted her to be my boss for this year's Christmas shopping. It is nice to know that I'm about half done, and it was all done from home! I heart the internet!

My sister Brittni and I saw these hats on our recent Gardner Village excursion and decided we had to have them. It would have been to easy to just buy them while we were there the first time so on Halloween morning we ventured on down to West Jordan to get em. They are FABULOUS! And, it goes great with my broom!
My neighbor told me it must be such a relief to not have to dress up for one day a year. Nice!

I Heart Halloween!

Every year I like to add a few things to my Halloween decor. I love it.

An "I'm Melting" figure, and "Crushed Bone of Bat"

A jar of "Poison" that Blake checks the levels of every day to see if it has gone down. He must think I am trying to poison him.

Skulls in Blood
The best decoration I have ever bought. My Broom! I love it. We have started a tradition of going to Gardner Village for Halloween and all I wanted this year was to find a broom, and I did. Yay!
This year after we carved pumpkins I left them in the house for a couple days so we could light them and enjoy them. They turned out way cute.

!st Halloween Party of the Season!

Ben and I went to a Halloween party last Saturday at Patti and Kelley's house. Ben was Batman and I was Wonder Woman. Ben said it was the first time he had had a wedgie in years. Ha ha! We had lots of fun!

Me, Trish and a Spartan Cheerleader.

Ben and Kelley were the same thing. (total coincedense)

Patti was Catwoman.
In Blake's class they earn money for doing good things or doing well on their work. The other day they had store and Blake bought me this:
"to keep all my little jewels in". I love it. On his way home he fell skateboarding and it broke, but I glued it back together and convinced him that you can't even tell. I think it's perfect!
What a sweetie!

My New "Thing"

POLE DANCING! I went to a bachelorette party last night and we went to a pole dancing class. I am in love! It was so much fun. We learned some moves, and a combo, and how to hang upside down. I was actually too scared to hang upside down because I didn't want to land on my head. I would get half-way there and chicken out. The place was like a dance studio and they have lessons there. I am going to try to go once a month. It was a BLAST! After that we went back to Brooke's house and ate delish snackage, played a game, and sat around and chatted. I was the second place winner of Pin the Junk on the Hunk. Jealous?

During the summer I like to bring flowers inside and put them in little vases around the house.

Cutesie, huh?

Thursday, July 2, 2009

After another exhausting day at the pool, my sista and I went to see The Proposal.
I LOVE SUMMER!
(the movie was pretty good too)

Saturday, June 20, 2009

Today is the first day of summer? Ya.... in my bra. It's been raining ALL day. The kids think they're being jipped since "it's summer and it's not even sunny." I feel their pain. This weather is totally ruining pool days. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy laying around but this is getting ridiculous.

Friday, June 12, 2009

This is pretty good too!

I freakin love these guys!

Tuesday, May 12, 2009

Guess who got tickets to see Joel McHale on June 12? Thats right.......ME! I can't wait.

Ben and I just got back from ALL YOU CAN EAT sushi with Ashley and Derrik. We are such pigs. Ben did the math and figured we each ate 40 pcs. It was so good. Maybe in a couple months we will feel like it again.

(I was trying to find a pic of something stuffed and I came across this picture of an "Alien for your baby's face" WTF?

Can I just say I am so sick of school. I can't wait for summer. A while ago I got a letter in the mail that said I would be referred to Juvenile Court if my children missed anymore days of school. So, yesterday I sent Blake to school and he had a cough. I knew he had a cough, I am pretty sure its croup because he is way worse at night and that is what it sounds like and they don't do anything for croup anyway, (we've been down this road before) but I sent him anyway, hence the stupid letter. I got a call from the school.

Principal: Hi, Angela. We were just calling concerning Blake's cough.
Moi: Ya?
P: Did you know he has a cough?
Me: Yes. (we do live together)
P: Well is it a new cough?
M: He started coughing yesterday. Why? Do you need me to pick him up?
P: Ya if you could that would be great.

Seriously. Shut up.

Then the other day Griff got in a teensy food fight. (he threw a grape) and he and the boys that were involved had to stay in for lunch and clean the cafeteria the next day as punishment. Thats fine. However he tripped over a mop and totally jacked up his knee. I had to pick him up and he could hardly even walk. Ben took him to the Dr. and they thought it was broken. Several x-rays later they decided it wasnt broken, he had just torn ligaments and muscles. Now its all black and blue. I'm sure the school will file that under their workers comp to cover the Dr. visit, right? At least he can walk now.

See? It's a heart. Cool, huh?

We were thinking about going to Mexico for the weekend in 2 weeks and now, swine flu???? Are you freakin kidding me?

WENDOVER!

Me and some friends went to Wendover to celebrate Renee's birthday. We left on Thursday and got back on Saturday. I thought we would get so bored out there for 2 days, but we really didn't. Thursday night we gambled. I learned how to play 3 card poker at the tables, and I gotta tell ya, I think that's my new game. It's a lot of fun, and you don't have to add like when you play 21. Bonus! On Friday, I slept late, got a hot stone massage and had a nap. It was fabulous! We went to dinner and gambled some more. They have these penny machines out there that I love. They have 5 reels and bonus spins and they're really loud. I won $85 bucks on one! It was awesome. I actually cashed out at $70, but that is pretty freakin sweet for a penny machine. We went to bed, got up, and came home. I love going out there with the girls and can't wait to do it again!

On a sadder note, one of my friends that went with had a death in the family, so I drove her back to Tooele on Friday night and someone met her there to bring her back to Brigham. I feel terrible for her and her family. It is so strange to me how your life can change in a second, and you have absolutely no idea when it's coming.

Saturday, March 14, 2009

I have been so freakin sick this week. Sore throat, cough, chills, stuffy-ness, headache. I haven't been sick for so long I forgot how bad it sucks. I am so stoked for everyone else to get it now. As Ben is laying on the couch "Babe, my throat hurts." Yay! I it SUMMER yet?

Tuesday, March 10, 2009

I let my stupid dog out and this is what was on my deck.
Wednesday.
Thursday.
Friday.
Cancun is sounding better and better.

Friday, February 6, 2009

I lost some of my memory cards! I put things in places and think, "I'll remember this. This is the perfect spot. I could never forget this." And I always amaze myself by forgetting. It's the "Halloween" one and one that had a million random pics on it. If I told any of you where I put them and you remember, call me!

My job is getting better. I quit wearing the lame-o hat, but my other pants haven't came yet. I don't want to wear any of my own because I don't want to ruin them. My boss was asking me what I thought about the tie thingys we have to wear and I told him I thought they were stupid. And he told me that people know you're at work, they expect you to look stupid. And I was all, just because that's the way it is, doesn't make it right.

Ba Da Da Da DAAA!

I have a small problem. For some reason I think that if I keep staying up late and doing things at night, time stops and tomorrow won't come because I don't want it to. Not just tomorrow, but every day that I have to work. Because, you see, if I don't go to sleep then I won't have to get up and get ready to go. I am working at MickyD's and I freakin HATE!!!, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE, HATE the stupid outfit I have to wear. HATE IT! I need a xanax just typing about it. Seriously, my heart rate goes up and I start to hyperventilate. (huge sigh) I never thought I would be excited to wear a manager outfit from McDonald's, but I can't wait! To give you an idea of what I am up against; I was getting dressed the other day and Ben goes "Are those your ski pants?", and on a different day Blake said, "Woah, those pants make you legs look all poofy." I don't even want to start on the visor. Kill me.

Wednesday, January 14, 2009

I got more info on the job. It isn't full time. Phew! And I will get benefits. And there was some talk of vacay hours, as I mentioned. (I called the dude on the phone, so I could stop with my mini freak out.) I feel much better about it, though. I don't know why it's so hard to offer a part time job with full benefits, and no restrictions on how much time you take off. Jeez!

The afternoon started off with a delish lunch at the elementary school with Griff, Blake, Brittni, and Caleb. I remember lunch being the best part of the day at NPE, (occasionally going back for seconds) but nowadays, it sucks. No wonder they are both starving when they get home. I had to go to Sam's later, and wanted to get something else to eat, just so I wouldn't feel like I wasted my lunch on something gross, but Brittni convinced me I had probably eaten my allotted lunch calories picking at the crap on the red tray in front of me.

Also, I have come to the realization that I am the only person who knows how to drive. I hate when people think they are doing a favor by stopping traffic so someone can turn in front of them, or waving someone ahead at a 4 way stop, like they have just done society a favor. Just effing drive already. The right way.

Tuesday, January 13, 2009

I can't believe I am typing this, but........I got a job at McDonald's. That's right, McDonald's. Being a manager. I think I am having second thoughts, but I don't know. In my first interview, the dude said 25-30 hours a week , but I had another interview and that lady said full time. FULL TIME????? I don't want to work full time. IDK what to do. It's making me crazy! I have orientation on Thursday, and I guess I'll get all my questions answered there. Like what my hours would be, and she said "you start off with 1 week paid vacation" and that's great and everything, but does that mean you only get 1 week of vacay? Do you have to use only accrued vacay hours? This might be more than I can handle. I guess I'll see Thursday! Plus, I have to wear a shirt and a tie. And black "polishable" shoes. :(

Saturday, January 3, 2009

I slept on the wrong number a few nights ago, and I am totally jacked up. I can hardly move. I usually go for 30-35, but I woke up and was on 40. Major pain people.

My sister Brittni and I went to Body Worlds and it was pretty cool. We waited in line for 2 hours, which I don't understand, because you have to have tickets and the ticket has a time on it. The baby part was what I remember the most. And the camel. (watch out, they spit :)) And when it showed the damage smoking does to your body. I would like to take Griff to it, but I don't know about Blake. I would recommend it to anyone, but give yourself a lot of time for the line. They said that since the exhibit is leaving in a couple weeks, it would be crowded. I got in a little tiff with the parking lot money taker guy. I guess that's where they keep the douche bags, underground in a box.

I guess it's back to normal life on Monday. The break has been really nice and relaxing. I didn't make any resolutions for New Year's. I don't hold myself accountable to myself, so I suck as my own boss.
