To Flush or Not To Flush

We have a fish and I think it is depressed. Blake and I are the only ones who feed it on occasion. It is in a Mason jar because Griff dropped the fish bowl and broke it. Do fish die when they get flushed?
And if anyone is wondering, my new smell is PS I Love You at Bath and Body Works. PS, I love it!
